Research
that matters.
Research at AIDMC is built around the exploration of Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Data Science, and other data-driven technologies. We believe that meaningful research begins with good questions, strong methodology, reliable data, careful analysis, and the willingness to turn ideas into knowledge.
Through the laboratory, students, lecturers, and researchers can develop research ideas, explore scientific literature, conduct experiments, analyze datasets, develop computational models, and work toward scientific publication.
From questions to knowledge.
AIDMC positions research as an important part of the laboratory's activities. Research is not only about producing a final paper, but also about developing the ability to identify problems, formulate questions, work with evidence, and communicate findings.
Our research environment encourages members to explore scientific literature, compare existing approaches, work with datasets, develop models, evaluate results, and discuss findings with other members of the laboratory.
The ultimate goal is to develop research that can contribute to academic knowledge while also creating useful insights, methods, systems, or technological solutions.
Areas we explore.
Our research areas cover several interconnected fields of artificial intelligence, data, computation, and technology. These areas provide a direction for laboratory projects, student research, collaborative studies, and scientific publications.
Artificial Intelligence
Exploration of intelligent systems, AI applications, generative artificial intelligence, natural language processing, computer vision, and intelligent decision-support systems.
Data Mining
Discovery of useful patterns, relationships, knowledge, and insights from structured and unstructured datasets using computational and analytical techniques.
Machine Learning
Development and evaluation of predictive, classification, clustering, and other learning models for research and practical applications.
Data Science
Combining statistics, programming, analytics, data visualization, and computational methods to understand complex research problems.
Intelligent Systems
Research into systems that can support decision-making, automate processes, recognize patterns, and respond to complex information.
Applied Technology
Transforming research findings into prototypes, applications, experiments, and technology solutions that can be explored in real-world contexts.
From research to publication.
Research becomes more meaningful when its findings can be communicated, discussed, reviewed, and shared with the wider scientific community. AIDMC therefore connects laboratory research with the scientific publication ecosystem.
Members can explore relevant journals, understand journal scopes, study published research, prepare manuscripts, improve scientific writing, and identify suitable publication opportunities.
The journal ecosystem is also intended to help students understand that research does not end when an experiment is completed. The process continues through writing, review, revision, publication, and dissemination of knowledge.
